From the purchase to SentiriPDF running with its license, step by step.
How do I claim my license key?
Polar gives a license key to each seat you bought, once someone has claimed the seat. The person who bought does not get one automatically.

Open the customer portal
Polar's email after the purchase ("You're now subscribed to SentiriPDF for Business") has the receipt, the invoice, a Download and get started box with the download link and these steps in short, and an Access purchase button. It opens Polar's customer portal, where you manage the subscription.

Invite someone to the seat
Click Manage subscription. Under Seat Management, type an email address and click Invite. It can be your own. For a company, we recommend a shared address such as your IT mailbox, so the key does not leave with an employee.

Claim the seat
Polar emails that address an invitation ("You're invited to join SentiriPDF for Business"). Click Claim seat within 24 hours. If it runs out, invite the address again.

Copy the license key
The claimed seat's customer portal shows the key under Benefit Grants, starting with SPDFB-. Click Copy. The same Download and get started box is shown below the key. The seat shows as Claimed in the buyer's Seat Management.

Install SentiriPDF for Business
Download SentiriPDF for Business (SentiriPDF-Business.msix), open the file and click Install.

Enter the key
Start SentiriPDF. Choose Help > Enter License, or Enter License in the license reminder, paste the key and click Activate. Help > About then shows who the license is for and how many users it covers.
On many PCs
One key for the whole company
Every PC can use the same key. Your seats are the number of people allowed to use SentiriPDF; the app does not count installations. Buy more seats in Seat Management when you need them.
Rolling the key out centrally
Instead of entering the key on each PC, IT can set it for every PC as the registry value LicenseKey (text) under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\SentiriPDF, with Group Policy, Intune or Configuration Manager. A key set this way takes precedence, and users are not asked for one. We send a Group Policy template on request: support@sentiri.as.
Firewall and offline PCs
SentiriPDF checks its license with license.sentiri.as at most once a day, over HTTPS, sending the key and nothing else. A license lasts 35 days, so a PC that is offline for a while keeps working. PCs that can never reach the internet can get an offline license from us.
When the subscription ends
SentiriPDF keeps working. A line at the bottom of the window asks users to contact their IT administrator, and after a month a reminder appears that can be closed after 10 seconds.
